This monograph book which serves as catalogue for the same titled exhibition is the first publication of its kind about the renowned American photographer Dorothea Lange. The book, edited by Alona Pardo and Jilke Golbach contains previously unpublished works from her work about the Japanese-American interment camps in California.
The book typography is influenced by the use of American commercial lettering, which can be seen throughout all of Lange’s body of work. It was essential for its layout to foreground photographic works over any textual element, which is considered as a secondary voice.
